Are intravesical instillations painful or dangerous?

Category: Chronic Cystitis, FAQ

The intravesical instillation therapy that I practice for the treatment of Chronic Cystitis are neither painful nor dangerous.

I perform the instillation by inserting a small urethral catheter through which I add a mixture of pharmaceutical agents that are kept inside for about two hours. In my experience for over two decades of practicing this approach, I have never had a single negative incident. On the contrary not only does this the therapy lead to a full cure, it is also always well tolerated by my female patients.
